What Is an Official Transcript?

An official transcript is a sealed, certified record of a student’s previous coursework, sent directly from the issuing school to Excel High School.

  • Must come directly from the previous school (not from the student or parent).
  • Contains school name, official seal, course names, grades, and earned credits.
  • Cannot be altered, scanned, or printed from an online portal—only official copies are accepted.

How to Submit an Official Transcript

To transfer credits, request an official transcript from your previous school and have it sent directly to Excel High School:

When Will My Transfer Credits Be Evaluated?

  • Credit evaluations occur only after a student has enrolled and completed a payment plan.
  • Once received, transcript evaluations typically take 5-7 business days.
  • Approved credits will be added to the student’s record, and the student will be placed in the appropriate courses.

What If My Previous School Is Closed or Cannot Send a Transcript?
