What Programs Does Excel High School Offer?

Excel High School provides flexible, self-paced, and accredited online education for middle school, high school, and adult learners.

At Excel High School, all students earn the same accredited high school diploma, regardless of the course levels they choose. Whether students take standard, honors, or AP courses, they are all working toward one diploma. The difference is in the level of coursework, not the type of diploma earned.

Middle School Program (Grades 6-8)

Excel High School’s middle school program helps students build a strong academic foundation for high school.

High School Program (Grades 9-12)

Students can choose their course level based on their academic goals and interests:

  • Standard Courses – Includes all core subjects and electives.
  • Honors Courses – More rigorous coursework for students seeking an advanced challenge.
  • Advanced Placement (AP) Courses – College-level courses available as add-ons to strengthen transcripts and earn potential college credit.

Adult High School Diploma Program ("Fast Track")

Designed for students 18 and older, the Fast Track Program allows adult learners to earn their high school diploma at their own pace.

  • Includes standard high school courses required for graduation.
  • Transfer credits from previous schools to accelerate completion.
  • Self-paced format to fit work and family schedules.

Success Coach Pro (Add-On for Teen Students)

Teen students can enroll in Success Coach Pro, an optional support program that provides:

  • One-on-one academic guidance.
  • Graduation planning and college prep support.
  • Bi-weekly check-ins with a dedicated Success Coach.

Credit Recovery, Single Courses & "Summer School"

Some students refer to credit recovery as "summer school," but at Excel High School, summer school is not limited to summer—students can enroll in individual courses year-round to catch up or get ahead.

  • Credit Recovery – Allows students to retake failed courses to stay on track for graduation.
  • Single Courses ("Summer School" Option) – Students can purchase a single course (or multiple courses, up to three at a time) without being considered a full-time enrolled student. This is ideal for students looking to:
    • Earn extra credits over the summer or during the school year.
    • Take courses not offered at their local school.
    • Meet graduation requirements on a flexible schedule.
