Can International Students Enroll at Excel High School or Northgate Academy?

Yes! Excel High School welcomes students from around the world. As a regionally accredited U.S. online school, we offer flexible, self-paced programs accessible from anywhere with a stable internet connection. Students must meet minimum English proficiency to succeed in coursework.

🎓 Who Can Enroll?

Excel High School is open to students outside the United States who meet the following requirements:

  • Age Requirements:

    • Middle School: Ages 11 and up

    • High School (Grades 9–12): Typically ages 14–18

    • Adult High School Program: Ages 18 and older

  • English Language Proficiency:

    • While we don’t require standardized English tests (like TOEFL or IELTS), students must be comfortable reading, writing, and completing coursework in English.

    • All instruction, assessments, and support services are in U.S. English.

What Programs Are Available to International Students?

Both Excel High School and Northgate Academy offer fully online, flexible programs that are accessible to international students. All programs are self-paced, asynchronous, and designed to accommodate learners in any time zone.

Excel High School (EHS) Programs

Excel High School is a regionally accredited, secular online school offering a wide range of academic options for middle and high school students, as well as adult learners.

International students can enroll in:

  • Middle School Program (Grades 6–8)
    A flexible, self-paced foundation for students aged 11+ preparing for high school.

  • High School Diploma Programs (Grades 9–12):

    • Standard Diploma Track (21.5 or 24 credits)

    • Honors Diploma Track (24 credits)

    • Honors + AP Track (24+ credits)

  • Adult High School Diploma Program (Ages 18+)
    Designed for adults who want to finish high school with a U.S. diploma. Transfer up to 75% of required credits and complete the rest online at your own pace.

  • Single Courses
    Great for credit recovery, grade improvement, or supplemental learning.

Northgate Academy (NGA) Programs

Northgate Academy is a regionally accredited, faith-based online high school grounded in Christian values and biblical teachings.

International students can enroll in:

  • High School Diploma Program (Grades 9–12):

    • Standard Diploma Track

    • Most courses are Christ-centered and designed to nurture students academically and spiritually.

  • Adult High School Diploma Program (Ages 18+)
    A Christian-based alternative to the GED for adult learners seeking a U.S. high school diploma.
